SAMPLES
Here are examples of some of the services I provide.
1) PowerPoint
2) Websites/Blogs
3) Film/Video Editing
4) Authorship/Creative Writing
POWERPOINT/KEYNOTE
First up is a PowerPoint sample. Naturally, there are hundreds of animation combinations as well as several ways to embed videos. Unfortunately, none of the online presentation sites are reliable for presenting these correctly. Click here or on the screenshots below to download the PowerPoint Show version. The embedded video may or may not play. When it comes to animations and video rendering correctly, it all depends on the presenter’s (or viewer’s) operating system. I have found that when giving presentations, it’s always best to practice on the same device you’re going to use to give the presentation. That way, any anomalies can be taken care of. This also applies when using Keynote.
WEBSITES/BLOGS
I have been building websites and blogs for clients and for personal use for 15 years.
My highest profile client is Liza Minnelli. Her official site was created by me, per her team’s instructions to provide official updates to her busy concert/personal appearance schedule, as well as important news items to her fans. It’s simple, but that’s what was needed: Something that’s quick to load and easy to navigate.
The second example is a discography site that I created and designed for fun. It’s been a side hobby site that is a nice creative outlet for my discography interests.
The image at the right is an example of a recent client driven blog. John Meyer was looking for a way to share his latest project while also sharing stories of his experiences. I advised that the blog route would be the way to go. He chose the template and I built the blog for him, teaching him how to post updates. I also provide general blog maintenance and clean-up for him.

FILM EDITING/FORMATTING
Here is a slightly more complicated job. A tribute video made for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of “Judy at Carnegie Hall” in April 2011. The source material encompassed everything from audio to film to photos:
CREATIVE WRITING/AUTHORSHIP
I have years of experience with creative writing, both in the world of marketing and in my personal life. In addition to creating various texts for marketing presentations, I have volunteered with the San Francisco Silent Film Festival as a researcher/author. In one season I handled the creation and formatting of their PowerPoint slideshows that were projected on the huge screen of the Castro Theater prior to showings of the films. All of the film essays are published and then cataloged by the Library of Congress.
I am currently a community columnist for the Bay Area Reporter.
